Relaxed, refreshed and ready to go!!!

Lilica Margarita Govea, portrait: August, 2010

We're back home in Kurashiki after an amazing vacation in San Francisco, CA, USA with familia from all around. Relatives flew in from different parts of the country just to meet Lilica and see me and Katsumi again after so many years. It was so much fun and it was also such cool weather, almost cold at times. It seems like a cool memory of fresh whipped cream that your tongue just recalls after having finished dessert. Yet, each moment of this first overseas family trip replays vividly in my mind. The loops of these flashes compound my happiness and warm my heart.

Now, my ladies have returned and we are re-synchronizing our inner clocks to the Japanese summer daylight. Katsumi even made me an "o-bento" or boxed lunch early this morning after only two days. She is an amazing wifey, even in her beleaguered, jet-lagged state! I said to her that she didn't have to do any of that extra work, but she insisted. I am so blessed to be her husband.

My Lily jumped into my arms at Hiroshima airport, as if the sight of my leaving her and the family at San Francisco International had passed only a moment before. A full week had gone by when I was had to be apart from my ladies so that I could return to work and do my duties here. But that embrace Lilica and I had was, by far, one of our greatest moment together. Just a nugde up on the amazing day we all spent at the photo studio to take our family portraits in San Francisco. Up above, Lilica is posing for that photo session like a pro.

Life is quite amazing.
