What America needs

Move to Amend is an organization dedicated to taking the dark corporate money out of American politics

    In a member survey of what issues are of critical importance, I included these final thoughts regarding the current state of our democracy:

   It's a precarious and highly volatile situation with freedom-loving, democracy-respecting people in charge and a neurotic, vengeful and loser-egomaniac and his followers all in the political arena.  Yes, we need dark money out of politics.  But we also need assault weapons banned.  We need to have a national discussion about the consequences of slavery and the absolute imperative of reparations for African Americans.  We need there to be an unwavering commitment to protect every American, regardless of national origin, sexual orientation or religious beliefs, from discrimination, violence and scapegoating.

    There is a deep loss in trust and respect that we must begin to heal again between those in power and the rest of us.  So let's move collectively on these issues as well.

The time is now.
