Big changes

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom at the Central Hospital in Kurashiki

Spring is the season of change. My wifey was given a golden opportunity to take on some part-time work for a special cram school with its own rigorous method of teaching/training. A teacher at that school remembered her from when they worked together at another kindergarten and she recommended her.

My wifey doesn't start until April 10th for a 2-day a week position, but she's been going in for her teacher training every day now this week, nearly 7 hours a stretch. These are unpaid days, but she is serious about picking up the method and learning about how their style produces far more "success" stories. The school teaches separate courses of English, music, art, etc., is a chain franchise and has been in business for quite a long time, apparently.

Today, we were able to have our planned Flower Watching party at Okayama Korakuen garden, but she had to leave after a while to go in and train some more. All of this will pay off, one way or the other. I believe in my wifey's abilities and in her potential, even if she doubts herself. If she makes a go of this or decides to leave it behind, I will support her all the way. This is what making a life with a wife is. This is what my daughter is beginning to understand too. We all have a chance to grow.

When my wifey is out for work, Lily and I will have to clean and cook for ourselves. Granted it will be only one night out of the week, so it's a chance for us to build up these skills and to bond more as father and daughter. I think this will be good for all of us.

Thank goodness that my mother-in-law has been here with us this past week over the spring break. She has helped tremendously with all of these adjustments and she's given some very valuable insight into how we all can adjust. She can only stay with us for another week before she goes back to Matsuyama, but we truly cherish the time that she is here, especially now.

Now, more that ever, I feel we are truly blessed.

Okayama Korakuen was a blast!

By the way, "Ryuuzo and the Seven Henchmen" is such a funny movie.
