The future is in our hands.

"The power to create a new world is...our hands." Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party candidate for President of the U.S.A. in 2016

This is a powerful time when those of us who have been laid to the wayside in national politics can rise up and use our vote to make the change we seek. Despite what the military-industrial-complex funded media would have us believe, there are candidates who are stepping up to fight for our vital future. Dr. Jill Stein of the Green party is one such hero.

Our climate patterns are changing rapidly. In Japan, the distinct four seasons are becoming blurred by overactive winters and seemingly endless summers. Spring and fall's durations are shortening. Wardrobe changes to match these environments also overlap. In spite of national Japanese guidelines on temperature settings of air conditioning and heating systems, energy use continues to peak during these extreme weather cliffs and troughs. The world needs America to show leadership in a sustainable green alternative.

This is more than about the politics of now. It is unconsequentially about the survival of our species on this planet. Mother Earth will go on long after our time has passed, much as She has done for millennia. If we want to re-synchronize our human web with the intricate patterns of life and their ecosystems, we have to take courageous steps to stopping ourselves from abusing them with our greedy ways. As Chief Seattle is attributed as saying,

"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."

We have to show them their due respect by not taking more than we need and by using every last material of the living things we kill for food as Native people have done. We need to cooperate on a global scale, ignoring the man-made boudaries that "seperate" us and acknowledging the global weather that we influence so heavily. We must stop bleeding our Mother Earth dry and we must stop polluting as if there's always room for more waste.

What future, what legacy are we leaving our children and their children?
