We have to live by our own ideals. We have to be the change we seek.
If peace is ever to be a true reality for the world, we can't rely on politicians to secure the wishes of the people. Thousands of Japanese protested the changes to the current peace Constitution, yet the law was unconstitutionally changed.
Now, Japanese troops can support American and other allied forces that are already in war conflict. Now, events that have absolutely nothing to do with Japanese homeland security will involve Japanese military might. What used to be the pinacle of peaceful standards, that is, Article 9 of the Japanese Constitutional which guaranteed Japan would never revert to violence in order to solve conflict that can be solved using diplomacy, words and simple inmtelligence, is temporarily dissolved. We shall wait and see how long such a travesty of justice will take hold.
