A letter I wrote to Chelsea E. Manning

Letter of appreciation to Chelsea Manning (formerly Bradley Manning), an American hero

I finally resolved to write a letter of appreciation to Ms. Chelsea Manning, formerly Bradley Manning of Wikileaks fame, for her courage in revealing to the world some of the US government's most horrid secrets. Had she not done the right thing and leaked the proof of aggregious US military crimes, including video footage of a US military helicopter squad's blatant attack on unarmed civilians, the world would still be in the dark. I sent the letter today from my home here in Japan in hopes that Ms. Manning's spirit will not falter. She has suffered more than anyone should, all to protect the rights of US citizens as well as the basic humanity of everyone in this world. The least I could do was to say "thank you."
