Lily and the dandelions

Another Golden Week holiday and, lol and behold, my little princess got a little sick. Today, she was feeling better, but she had some kind of bug two days ago and couldn't hold anything down. Poor girl.

Fortunately, today, Children's Day, May 5th, we were able to go out together to the park, a special play area, the local DVD rental place and a drug store. Though this may sound like a routine route for errands, it was an especially rewarding father-daughter bonding time. It was a great time!

My little girl made me so proud at that play area we found at Muscat Stadium. There were many bridges and structures criss-crossing a "moat"-like pond. Each was designed to challenge kids to try to cross with their own coordination, balance and self-awareness. The thing that impressed me beyond Lilica trying each one of these was the fact that she played together very well with an ad hoc group of kids. She was the お姉ちゃん or "big sister" of the group, directing the others on how to play safely while she and another boy pulled the rope that moved the railroad cart-like contraption across the water. Wow! She's definitely shaping up to be some kind of leader, my girl is! ¡Es mi chavala!
