A movie collage of Lilica's 4th birthday http://youtu.be/RLB4QiKOrIY
The first time I held my baby girl, 4 years ago.
The greatest joy I ever felt as a true human being was when I held our little girl in my arms for the first time. That feeling was compounded exponentially this past weekend when I guided Lily in her first bicycle ride at age 4. She's growing up so well, so quickly, in fact, that the time that has passed seems like in the blink of an eye.
The sparkle of my eye shines brillantly as the life of this miracle child. The reflection from the nearby muddy, green-lined, mirror-like rice fields reveals the most intimate expectations I hold of her. They form into the dreams that she is inspired by on her journey toward becoming an amazing woman. Hers will be a force of femininity that will penetrate the pores of those around her like the scent of wild lillies. The determination with which she'll live her life will far eclipse my own sheer will to have survived and succeeded all these years.
Lilica, you make me want to be a better man, a better example of fairness and open-mindedness. Your Okaachan and I made you out of supreme love which was destinied to arc through the clouds of any uncertainties and shape this living rainbow presence you evolve into daily. You make me so proud. I will continue to fight for your honor and set a good path for you to start your life's journey. Blaze your trail, mijita, and don't be afraid to excel.
Always and forever, your one and only Otouchan.
