Live life every moment

Viva! Live! 生きる!

2 years and 9 months ago we were blessed with the newest addition to the human family, to our own family and to all of the universal relations: Lilica Margarita. Now, we live life with reference to her life.

After the continuing tragedies of the aftermath from last Friday's earthquake, tsunami, aftershocks, and impending nuclear plant meltdown in Northeastern Japan (Sendai-shi, Migayi, and the surrounding prefectures), one clear message comes across. We must live every moment to its fullest. Living in ceremony and prayer for the thousands of victims who died so far and of the missing people who are still trying to make due without electricity, heat, shelter, food and means of communication, we must live. We must give all of the help we can to them through donations to the Japanese Red Cross, etc.

Yet, the single biggest way we can help is by living, and living in a much more earth-friendly, community-friendly way. Our Lilica and her generation deserve to have a good Earth to live in. They don't deserve the devastation we're leaving them. Natural disasters are, in part, a result of our misdeeds and abuses to the environment. Mother Earth is just trying to put her cycles back into balance.

Tragedies befall more tragedies. Japan had, as my wife said, a triple punch devastation with the earthquake, tsunami and trouble at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The people of Japan need lots of help to recover from this tragedy and we of the rest of the world must live right, live well and live within our means to not abuse the Earth or each other any more. We must live so that Lilica and her generation can too!

Peace. 平和
